Target Market

Market targeting is a method to evaluate all market sectors and pick one or more divisions. The market goal of Starbucks is to offer a variety of coffee for those with low to high income. Schultz decided to make Starbucks the place to chill, collect and engage with their clients. They were therefore diligent with their quality management and fulfilled the high demands. The creation of separate promotion and merchandise plans for the various segments involves a mass marketing strategy. As far as homogeneous or mass marketing is concerned, the organization pays little attention to market disparities and employs a single market-wide approach. After their arrival, the marketing mix has been undifferentiated, generated, and retained because the industry is considered a single sector. A brand that satisfies all customers is one of the main challenges in using this target market approach. They have used their services without compromising on consistency to accomplish this approach and expanded actively over the years throughout the industry. Starbucks' primary population is between the ages of 25 and 40 with a low-high wage; the second focus group is between the ages of 18 and 24 and belongs to wealthier family members. As targeted, Starbucks is between retail marketing and marketing segment; it targets a broader public; but consumers may have such requirements, such as higher earnings or a younger generation. For Starbucks, male and female middle-to-class upper classes tend to serve Starbucks regularly high-priced drinks. When customers reach their shops, they give their target audience an experience that isn’t offered widely in other coffee shops. Overall, Starbucks does not only satisfy this target market their cravings they also fulfill the needs of the working class by offering them a working space and atmosphere that includes Wifi which a necessity nowadays. After all it is a comforting idea to be buying a decent cup of coffee and to relax with your laptop and work in a store that is based on this atmosphere.
