ABOUT ME
I’m a second year student in Business & Economics college at UAEU. My major is entrepreneurship. In spring 2021 I took principals of marketing course with Dr.Mary Lego and here is a video of my reflection of the course.

Marketing's job is never done. It's about perpetual motion. We must continue to innovate every day.

Is marketing important in the success of a brand or product in the market? Why?
Yes, marketing is very important for the success of a brand or product, because it includes all the activities that can raise the sales of that brand or product. Without marketing many businesses may close because not many people will know about the business and what do they offer, only their regular customers will know them. So marketing help businesses sell their product or service and by that, the businesses will achieve their goal, which is creating profit.
Advertising types that are useful in today’s world:

What topics did you find interesting in this course? Why?
There are many interesting topics in this course, but the most three attractive and interesting topics I found was for example the marketing mix (4Ps), which is the basic marketing strategy, that includes the product, price, place, promotion. Product: which refers to the goods or services the company offers. Price: is the cost the consumer pay for the goods or services. Please: is the location of that product or service. Promotion is to show the consumers why do you need this product or service by advertising or promotion strategy. The target marketing process is another topic that I also found interesting. First step, which talks about how to divide large groups of people into smaller groups of people who share similar needs and wants that is called segment. Second step, targeting that which marketers evaluate each segment and decide which one of those segments to choose and invest their marketing resources on. Last step, positioning is the process by which marketers seek to influence how a particular product is perceived by customers. The last topic that I also found interesting is BCG Matrix, which helps businesses to analyze the competitive environments of their industries. BCG Matrix has four different categories question mark, dog, stars, and cash cows that have low growth and high shares.
